FLIGHTS TO MADRID

Madrid is the capital of Spain and one of the most beautiful cities in all Europe, it combines the charm of history and modernism. When planning your travel to Madrid, the only convenient option for people who are outside the Old Continent, is by using Madrid air travel.

As any important city in the World, Madrid has all that is needed to welcome people who arrive by air. The Barajas Madrid airport is located about 8 miles northeast of Madrid, and it serves over 36 million passengers per year.

To start planning your Madrid air travel, you can begin by taking a look at the different available packages on the Web or a travel agency. Depending on the country of departure, you will find different airlines that serve the route to Madrid.

From the airport you can find easy transportation: you can choose between using the metro, the bus or a taxi cab. The metro line there is connected to the Nuevos Ministerios station, from where yu can find an access to any place in the city.

If you plan to leave the airport in taxi, you have to keep in mind that the fares are most of the time higher (like in any airport!) and you have to also have a keen eye to avoid scams or theft. A common scam tactic of taxis is to start running the meter before you have even gotten into the cab!

Problems aside, Madrid air travel is very convenient, and the airport has all the facilities you need to feel comfortable and secure. This was enhanced even more with the construction of the airport’s new section in 2006.

The time of the flight will of course depend on the city of departure, some times of travel include: 2:15 hours from London, 7 hours from NY and from Toronto, 27:30 hours from Sydney and 12 hours from Los Angeles.
